Global Satsang Terms of Use

Directory operator: Just Love Forest Ashram, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”)

Contact: ramram@neemkarolibaba.org

Website: NeemKaroliBaba.org

1. Our purpose and role

This directory helps adults connected with the Neem Karoli Baba satsang find one another and share information: member profiles and interests, places they have visited or hope to visit, directory listings of ashrams, satsangs, seva groups and online communities, gatherings, Baba’s Helping Hands posts, resources and archive photos, hospitality, and possible personal connections. It is a tool for making introductions and sharing member-submitted information.

We do not act as a travel agent, lodging provider, event organizer, matchmaker, dating service, employment agency, broker, charity administrator, or guarantor of any person, place, gathering, offer, post, or transaction listed in the directory. A listing’s presence does not mean that we endorse it or consider it safe.

Unless we expressly identify an activity as one that we ourselves organize, interactions and arrangements made through the directory are between the people involved. These Terms do not govern our own separately organized events or services, which may have additional terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal ability to agree to these Terms, and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your account and for activity conducted through it. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your connection to a teacher, ashram, organization, or gathering, or create an account for someone else without authorization.

We may request information to help administer the directory, but creating an account does not establish that we have confirmed your identity, background, qualifications, or suitability to meet others.

3. No safety certification or guarantee

Our administrators review new directory listings, gatherings, shared resources, archive photos, and requests to manage a listing before they are published or approved, and may request changes, verify limited details, hide, or remove content. We also respond to reports from members. Any such step is limited and does not constitute a background check, safety screening, certification, recommendation, or guarantee. Publication means only that an item met our basic posting rules at the time it was reviewed. We do not undertake to investigate every member, host, guest, gathering, business, or claim, and we cannot ensure that information remains accurate after it is posted.

Labels such as “listed,” “member,” “host,” “co-host,” or “you manage this listing” describe participation in the directory only. A listing manager is someone we have allowed to edit a listing after a request, not a person we have vetted. These labels do not mean “vetted,” “trusted,” or “safe.” We will explain what any specific verification label actually checks before using one.

People can misrepresent themselves, change their plans, or behave differently offline. You must make your own assessment before contacting, meeting, hosting, visiting, paying, or entering into any arrangement with another person.

4. Hosting, travel, and in-person meetings

A member may indicate that they are open to hosting travelers or staying with other members. This is an expression of interest, not an offer of lodging by us. Hosts and guests make their own arrangements and are responsible for deciding whether to proceed, agreeing on expectations, complying with applicable laws, and looking after their own safety, property, and belongings.

We do not inspect homes, confirm ownership or permission to host, check locks or other safety features, verify insurance, supervise visits, or provide emergency assistance. We are not a party to an agreement between a host and guest. A host’s or guest’s presence in the directory does not imply our approval of that person or the home.

Meetings, travel, transportation, overnight stays, and home visits carry risks. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily assume the risks arising from your own decisions to participate in arrangements with other members, including risks of injury, illness, theft, property damage, harassment, assault, fraud, or other misconduct by third parties. Nothing in these Terms excuses a person who harms someone else from responsibility for their own conduct.

5. Gatherings, ashrams, and other places

Listings and gatherings may refer to ashrams, temples, retreats, satsangs, kirtans, teachers, online communities, or other places and activities. They are supplied by members, who may or may not be the organizer, host, or manager; the person who shares a gathering is not necessarily its host. Even when we review an item before publishing it, we do not guarantee that a gathering exists, is authorized, is accurately described, will take place as planned, has the stated cost, or is appropriate or safe for you. Recurring gatherings may change or stop without notice.

Before traveling or paying, confirm details directly with the organizer or venue, including its identity, location, cost, accessibility, policies, and cancellation terms. A mention in this directory does not imply that a place or organizer is affiliated with, or endorsed by, us.

6. Personal and intimate connections

Members may choose to indicate openness to friendship, companionship, business, or intimate connections, along with optional details such as pronouns, gender, orientation, and who they are interested in connecting with. Answers about intimate and business openness are kept private and are only shown, or used in search, when both members have said yes. That choice does not constitute consent to contact, meet, intimacy, or any particular conduct. Consent must be freely given for each interaction and may be withdrawn at any time.

We do not assess compatibility, intentions, relationship status, sexual health, or personal safety. You are responsible for your own choices and conduct. Harassment, coercion, threats, exploitation, and unwanted sexual contact are prohibited and may be reported to us and to appropriate authorities.

7. Baba’s Helping Hands, business dealings, and outside arrangements

Members may post offers of help, needs, and referrals in Baba’s Helping Hands, and may contact one another about services, purchases, donations, employment, collaborations, or other opportunities. Unless we explicitly state otherwise for a specific service we provide, we do not negotiate, process, insure, supervise, or guarantee those arrangements, and we do not confirm that a stated need or offer is genuine. The people involved are responsible for evaluating the offer, documenting their agreement, making or receiving payments, paying taxes, obtaining required licenses or insurance, and resolving disputes between themselves.

Public posts may not contain phone numbers or email addresses; we block or hide them so that first contact happens through private messages on the platform. Likes on posts reflect member interest only, not our endorsement.

Do not assume that a business, fundraiser, teacher, practitioner, or professional is qualified or endorsed because they appear in the directory. Do not send money or sensitive information without making your own checks.

8. Member conduct

You agree to use the directory respectfully and lawfully. You may not:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful, or impersonating content.

• Harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, exploit, or pressure another person.

• Share another person’s private information, images, or communications without permission.

• Solicit money through deception or engage in fraud, spam, or unauthorized commercial messaging.

• Misrepresent spiritual authority, lineage, affiliation, credentials, ownership of a listing, hosting of a gathering, or an organizer’s permission.

• Invite people by email without a good-faith belief that they would welcome the invitation.

• Use the directory to facilitate unlawful activity or harm to any person.

• Circumvent a block, suspension, messaging preference, safety feature, or access restriction.

Hosts, guests, organizers, and other members remain responsible for their own actions. You must honor another person’s boundaries, including a choice not to receive messages, and applicable local law.

9. Profiles, content, and privacy choices

You are responsible for the content you submit, including photos, and for having the rights and permissions needed to share it. Do not post another person’s address, contact details, photograph, or sensitive information without their permission; for archive photos, share only images you have the right to share. Consider carefully what you make visible in your profile, particularly your home location, travel plans, gatherings you are attending, religious experiences, and preferences concerning intimate connections. Member profiles are visible to other signed-in members; directory listings, gatherings, resources, archive photos, and Helping Hands posts (shown with first names only) are visible to the public.

When you invite friends by email, you confirm you know them, and we use their name and email only to send that invitation.

Posts and messages may be automatically translated by an AI service into a reader’s language. Translations may contain errors; the original is always kept and available. Private messages are processed for translation only for the members in that conversation.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, translate, and technically adapt it as needed to operate and promote the directory in accordance with your chosen visibility settings and our Privacy Notice. This license ends when your content is removed, except where limited retention is necessary for backups, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or records already shared with others. Gatherings that have passed may remain stored after they are no longer shown as upcoming.

Our separate Privacy Notice explains what personal information we collect, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and how to exercise applicable privacy rights. Where required, we will obtain a separate, explicit choice before processing or publicly displaying sensitive profile information. Agreeing to these Terms alone is not a substitute for that choice.

10. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report suspected impersonation, fraud, harassment, unsafe conduct, unlawful content, or inaccurate listings using the “Report” links on messages, member profiles, listings, gatherings, and Helping Hands posts, and you can block any member to stop their messages immediately. Reports go to our team of administrators. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first; reporting to us is not an emergency response channel.

We may review reports and, where appropriate, restrict visibility, remove content, suspend messaging or accounts, or refer matters to appropriate authorities. To review a reported message, administrators may see the reported content. We keep a record of moderation actions. We will apply our published rules and any procedures required by applicable law. We cannot promise to prevent every incident, monitor every interaction, resolve private disputes, or reach a particular outcome in response to a report. Where applicable law gives users notice, appeal, or complaint rights concerning moderation decisions, we will provide them.

11. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue directory features, subject to applicable law. We may update these Terms and will give notice of material changes as required by law. The updated Terms will state their effective date. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the directory and close your account.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the directory and member-submitted content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the directory will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any profile, listing, identity, gathering, invitation, accommodation, relationship, service, translation, or transaction is accurate, lawful, available, suitable, or safe.

We do not make promises on behalf of members or third parties. Any spiritual, health, legal, financial, or other advice shared by a member is that person’s statement, not advice from us.

13. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of members or other third parties, or for losses arising from arrangements they make with one another, including hosting, travel, gatherings, intimate connections, business dealings, Helping Hands offers and needs, payments, and communications outside the directory.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the directory. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit, or removes any nonwaivable consumer right. These Terms do not prevent a claim based on our own conduct where the law does not allow that claim to be waived.

14. Your responsibility for your conduct

You are responsible for claims arising from your content, unlawful conduct, breach of these Terms, or your arrangements with others. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Just Love Forest Ashram, Inc. and its personnel against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from those matters, except to the extent caused by our own conduct for which we are legally responsible.

15. Disputes between members

We are not a party to agreements between members. We may offer a way to report concerns, but we are not required to mediate or resolve disputes over a visit, relationship, payment, gathering, service, or other private arrangement. Members retain their legal rights against the people directly involved.

16. Governing law and mandatory rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, United States of America, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection or other laws of your place of residence apply. The courts of Fulton County, Georgia, will have jurisdiction where the law permits. Nothing here deprives you of a forum or remedy that applicable law requires.

17. General terms

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Our delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular service, form the agreement concerning your use of the directory.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms, reports concerning the directory, and privacy requests may be sent to ramram@neemkarolibaba.org.

19. Photo contributions and copyright

When you upload a photo, you must confirm that you took it or have permission or another legal right to share it, and that you have accurately identified its creator and source. Owning a print or finding an image online does not by itself give you the right to post it. We ask contributors for the photographer or creator, the approximate date, the source, and the basis for sharing; completing these fields does not mean we have verified them.

By uploading, you grant NeemKaroliBaba.org permission to display the photo on this directory. You do not release it for reuse by others unless you separately agree to a broader license.

You may not upload intimate images shared without consent, images that endanger someone, or photos of minors without appropriate permission. Location and camera metadata are removed from uploaded photos before they are displayed.

Every archive photo shows who contributed it and has a Report option. Reports may concern copyright or permission, privacy or consent, inaccurate captions or attribution, or other concerns, and go to our administrators, who may hide a photo immediately while it is reviewed.

Copyright notices and counter-notices may be sent to our designated copyright agent: Just Love Forest Ashram, Inc., 1782 Old Holland Rd., Lyerly, GA 30730, United States, ramram@neemkarolibaba.org. We will terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights, in accordance with the safe-harbor framework of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
